Rural Broadband & emails

Our email service is provided via remote countryside broadband; as this is a 'rural' service from time to time we experience difficulties sending and receiving emails.

Some enquiries will take longer to reply to as we may require a few hours to look at timber in order to match your enquiry requirements.

Your email enquiry is important to us; we do receive high numbers of emails and aim to respond within 12-24 hours. If you haven't received an email response within 24-48 hours please call our office to check that your email has been received.

Timber Yard (opening times)

...You are welcome to visit us...

email us or call our office to book an appointment...

Appointment time slots Monday to Friday

9am-12noon and 2pm-4pm

*August Bank Holiday Weekend 2019: We will be closed on Friday 23rd August and over the August Bank Holiday; we re-open on Tuesday the 27th August*

*Wednesday 18th September-No Yard visits available on this day as we are fully booked.

Why book an appointment

During certain times we may be closed to the public as we are doing sawmilling and machining work etc. that is dangerous, at this time we have to restrict public access to our yard so that we meet our HSE obligations, Risk Assessment protocols and insurance criteria.

We may need to arrange to get stacks of timber out for you to view, this may take an hour or so, booking an appointment helps you to avoid waiting.

We also need to ensure that the correct members of staff are on site to assist you (to help with your enquiry and to move timber and to meet our insurance requirements and HSE legislation)

Lunch time visits to our Yard

When our staff take their lunch (usually between the hours of 1-2pm) as key members of staff are not available during this time you may have to wait for assistance.

Members of staff must be present for you to be able to look at timber by appointment, or to make a collection (for timber ordered in advance we always email you a selection of collection times, when staff will be available, so that you know when you can collect your order from us)

If you visit our Yard during lunchtime there will be a wait until a key member of staff is free to help you with your enquiry. (We are happy to provide this time to our staff and are legally obliged to allow our staff to have  their lunch break)

Changes to opening times

Although we usually keep Yard hours Monday to Friday, the yard team occasionally works away from site or may be undergoing staff training at these times our Yard opening times and visiting/collection times will vary this is why we ask you to contact us before you visit.

Changes to our general opening times are always posted on this page.
