Some enquiries will take longer to reply to as we have a large volume of timber in stock so it can take quite a bit of time to move the timber stacks and look at all of the timber in order to select a board with your sizes, timber grading and characteristics finding those boards that are just right for your project takes time.
We will need to email you, we may not be able to confirm availability straight away or pricing over the phone (some patience on your side may be required)

Your email enquiry is important to us; we do receive high numbers of emails and calls, we aim to respond within 1-3 days.
On some occasions it may take longer than this to reply, please remember that we will be looking at boards to find 'the one or many boards/slabs', just right for you. If your project requirements are detailed and specific and if enquiry demand is high, this process may take up to 7 days.

We communicate by email, we do not communicate with clients via Facebook or Instagram or TikTok. Due to the volume of enquiries we receive on a daily basis these accounts are used to occasionally post images of our Interesting Timber and Timber Products only.

We prefer emails; all calls to our office are answered by our efficient and friendly office staff. Our office staff may not be able to answer all telephone calls immediately so please leave a message and you will receive a return call.

COVID/Flu etc.- Safe System Of Work. We work to HSE Health and Safety Policy and Safe System of Work and to meet our insurance obligations. We select the timber for you, this keeps our cost down which means you pay less for our timber.

Changes to working times
We usually work Monday to Friday, the yard team occasionally works away from site or may be undergoing staff training at these times our Yard Staff will not be available to discuss your project or an order you have placed. On these occassions, as always, you are welcome to talk to our office staff, Catherine is always happy to speak to you.

Bank Holidays and Christmas
Interesting Timbers Yard and Office is not open at the weekend or on bank holidays we also close at Christmas time and are closed on Good Friday, Easter Monday and New Year's Day.

Delivery-we are happy to select your timber and dispatch it by Parcel Carrier or Pallet Haulier, for all deliveries charges will apply.

We are located on the B3139, on the Mendip Hills about 1.5 miles from the A37, on the left as you head towards Wells in Somerset.
Distance: We are above the historic city of Wells in Somerset which is a 10 minute drive away. Bath and Bristol are also only a short distance from our yard, 16 miles drive by car. We are 14 miles from Castle Carey and Frome. Bruton is also accessible by a short journey of 12 miles as is Glastonbury, London 2 1/2 hours.
We are fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful country side, pretty villages and historic areas.
